This is a complete view of the Difference Engine No 2. In the background is a late portrait of Charles Babbage. The guy in blue on the right is the presenter who provides narration and commentary during the demonstration.
The left side of the machine is the print out section. The middle upper section is where the differences for the polynomial are summed. The middle lower section is the transmission of the differences for the polynomial under calculation. The unit on the right (somewhat behind the sign) is the power input, as well as the input differences for the polynomial under calculation. Close ups of all these sections will follow.
